Favorite Vacation Spots

What are some of your favorite vacation spots, and why?
The ones I've actually visited are:
Disney World - I'm really a 12 year old in a 30 year old's body.
Martha's Vineyard - Mostly because of a family relation.
Sweden - I have an old friend that lives there.
Paris - Who doesn't love Paris!
St. Louis - My husband is from here, and I love the area.
The ones I've always wanted to visit are:
The Grand Canyon
Pyramids
Silver Dollar City
Japan
Vacation spots
Havn't been on a real vacation in quite some time. I remember Disney as a kid, and of course had a blast there. Much more fun at Cedar Point though. Roller Coasters aplenty.
Cape Cod was really cool. Went on a short cruise to do some whale watching. On the way back, there were 100 dolphins just jumping around the boat. I loves me some dolphins :)
I've been to pretty much every state on the east coast, but none west coast. I live in IL so I'm right in the middle. Been as far west as Iowa, and that was only because I was born there and lived till I was 2 or 3 (I don't really recall lol)...otherwise, havn't been west of IL at all.
These days, my only "vacation" is either taking time off to chill at home, or heading out to Maryland to visit mommy. Every time I'm out there, she asks...so what do you want to do? It's vacation mom, nothing.....nothing at all.

Which side of IL? My husband's family is from close to St. Louis. In fact usually (to avoid confusion) I tell people he's from St. Louis. I've lived in CT my entire life. Sad isn't it? One day I'll probably end up moving out there though. It's doo darn expensive here!

I live about 20 miles or so south of Chicago. I also work on the south side of Chicago as well.
Have some family out in CT. Don't recall where without taking a peep at a map, but was some damn good times white water rafting last time I was out there :)

Interesting. I'm originally from the Thornton, South Holland, Dolton area. That's about 20-30mins south of Chicago too.

I'm a couple miles west of that area, Orland Park.
I've also lived in Crete, Park Forest, New Lenox, Posen, La Grange, Oak Forest....few others I'm sure I'm forgetting lol
