I'm hoping to spark some conversation here. The forums get tons of hits, but no one is talking. :)
So, this time the question is simple: What weapons of the 1800s would you like to see in Phoenix?

bows & arrows.......don't know about different types and such. Which would also bring up the conversation about ammo for the bow. If it's player-made, store bought (or obviously both) or just generated.

That's funny. I actually own that little Derringer. Like the one you posted there, it can only fire blanks. It doesn't actually chamber real ammo.
Our goal is to really drive a player-based economy. Certain supplies will always be available from NPC vendors, but you'll be mainly looking to other players for everyday needs. This includes arrows and bullets in addition to weapons themselves.

The biggest problem with timed events is cheating. There's no secure way to determine who was the fastest draw. You can't trust the client to tell the server its time because of possible hacks. You can't trust the time packets hit the server, either - players with slow connections (deliberate or not) or laggy ISPs would always lose to people with faster connectivity and/or less latency.
